On the 55th Birthday of Superstar Shah Rukh Khan here are some amazing work of the actor on Television

MUMBAI: The Basdshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan is celebrating 55th birthday today (November 2). The actor-producer-philanthropist has made a phenomenal mark of himself through his body of work in India and globally. But, little do we know that before making his big bang entry in Bollywood with Deewana (1992), Shah Rukh Khan did numerous television shows. On this special occasion of his birthday, let's take a look at the shows he did and the characters he played in it 

1.Fauji

Fauji was Shah Rukh Khan's debut in the television world. He played the role of lieutenant Abhimanyu Rai in this tv series based on the Indian Army. Initially, Vikram Rai was supposed to be the hero of this show but the camera captured Shah Rukh's charm, and the entire script was altered to make Abhimanyu Rai the hero of Fauji 

2. Circus

Circus was a television show set in a circus troupe and featured Shah Rukh Khan as Shekharan Rai in it. Apart from him, Makarand Deshpande, Ashutosh Gowariker and Pavan Malhotra were also a part of this show. Renuka Shahane played the lead opposite SRK.

3. Dil Dariya

Dil Dariya was the first television show, Shah Rukh Khan had actually shot for. Interestingly, it was Fauji that was telecasted first and it became to be known as his first show. 

4. Doosra Keval

Shah Rukh Khan played the role of a country boy named Keval, who goes to the town and never returns. The story is translated as memories of his mother, daughter and the villagers. Later, Shah Rukh's friend visits his family and they accept him as Keval. Therefore, the name 'Doosra Keval' 

5. Kaun Banega Crorepati

Shah Rukh Khan hosted the quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2007. The show is otherwise hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan 

6. Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?

Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? was a show hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. It was an adaptation of the American show, Are you smarter than a 5th grader?. The first episode went on air on April 25, 2008, and the last episode went on air on July 27, 2008, with former politician Lalu Prasad Yadav as its guest. 

7. Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout

Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout was a comedy show hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, and co-hosted by Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain fame Saumya Tandon. In the show, the contestants had to overcome all the barriers to reach the next level.

8. TED Talks India: Nayi Soch

TED Talks India: Nayi Soch is a show where speakers from different walks of life share their journey that inspires people. Shah Rukh Khan hosts this show and interviews people from all around the world who've done exceptional work.
