Harshad graduated in Computer Engineering and his family was not in favour of him becoming an actor. They wanted Harshad to take his studies seriously.

Harshad auditioned for Mamta in 2006 and bagged the role of Karan Srivatav and later got a role as Cadet Ali Baig in SAB TV's Left Right Left.
