Here are a few Bollywood films with the same titles but different storylines.

MUMBAI : Bollywood has served the audience great content over the years, with different genres and star cast. In fact, evergreen and classic films like Sholay, Mughal-e-Azam, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Deewar, and many more are watched and enjoyed even today.

These are big-banner movies that we people all over the globe love, but there are also a few films that were made on a budget that had an amazing run at the box office.

Movie names play an important role in Bollywood, as the name fixes the premise and perception about the movie in the minds of the audiences.

Bollywood has witnessed many similar titles over the years. Have a look at films that have the same title.

Dilwale

Dilwale (1994), which had Suniel Shetty and Ajay Devgn in the leads, was loved by the audience. It was based on a man who is falsely accused of murder by his girlfriend’s guardian. The man ends up in a mental asylum. On the other hand, the other film with the same title was Dilwale starring SRK and Kajol. It released in 2015 and was directed by Rohit Shetty.

Golmaal

Cult comedy film Golmaal starred Amol Palekar and went to become a classic. It is loved by the audiences even today. Golmaal: Fun Unlimited by Rohit Shetty gave a new flavour to the audiences and was equally loved.  

Baaghi

The old Baaghi had Salman Khan and was a serious movie about a man leaving his home for his lady love who turns out to be a sex worker. The police believe she has been abducted by him. In 2016, we see the new version of Baaghi starring Tiger Shroff and with a different storyline. It was liked by the audiences.

Shandaar

The old Shandaar which had Mithun Chakraborty and Mandakini in the leads was directed by Vinod Dewan and was loved by fans. The new Shandaar which starred Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the leads is a compelte different story with the same title.

Hera Pheri

The 1976 movie Hera Pheri starring Vinod Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan was much appreciated. Another movie with the same name starred Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suneil Shetty. The flavour and storylines were completely different.  

Other such films are Aankhen (1992) and (2002), Agent Vinod (1977) and (2012), Dostana (1980) and (2010), Mother India (1938) and (1957), and Badshah (1964) and (1999).
