Actor Henry Cavill

Actor Henry Cavill has denied the rumour that his upcoming film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be split into two parts.

The 31-year-old, who plays Superman in the highly-anticipated film, refuted the rumour at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards (BAFTA) tea at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, reports variety.com.

In addition to denying the rumour, the “Man of Steel” actor said Ben Affleck was “great” as Batman and shared that he was not injured following fighting scenes opposite Affleck's Caped Crusader.

He said: “Are you kidding? I'm the 'Man of Steel'."

Asked if “Batman v Superman” would be more epic than “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, he simply said: “You'll see.”

The rumor about “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” being split into two parts emerged online Jan 9 after a photograph, of what appeared to be a screenshot from the movie's trailer, surfaced. According to the photo, the first part of the movie is set to hit theaters later this year.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” hits theaters in the US March 25, 2016.
