I don't have any limitations as an actress - Madalasa Sharma

The pretty Madalasa Sharma who is making her debut in Bollywood with Rajshri productions Samrat & Co. comes across as an intelligent and sure footed actress. Daughter of director Subhash Sharma and south actress Sheela Sharma, Madalasa has acted in south Indian movies before Rajshri productions spotted her and gave her a break in Samrat & Co. Talking about the movie, Madalasa says, “ My character’s name is Dimpy. She is a modern but sweet girl who is innocent, honest and respects her family values and cultures. Dimpy and her parents stay in Shimla and some inexplicable incidents happen in her life which makes her consult detective genius Samrat (Rajeev). And within five minutes of meeting Samrat, Dimpy realizes that only he can help her with the case.” It goes without saying that to be launched opposite the Khans of this industry is the desire of ever newcomer. While Rajshri is synonymous with Salman Khan, Madalasa looks quite happy being launched opposite Rajeev Khandelwal. Says Madalasa, “It’s the desire of every girl to be launched opposite the Khans. I would also love to work with them one day. But out of all the top notch banners, Rajshri is the one that gives chances to newcomers. Samrat & Co is a great debut platform and it was a real honour to work with Rajeev who is well –known for his acting. I learnt a lot from such a senior actor.” While she may only be one film old in Bollywood, Madalasa doesn’t see herself as an ‘actress with limitations.’ On the contrary, even if the role is bold, Madalasa will have no qualms in doing it, if she is convinced about it. “I don’t want to set limitations as an actress. If I am 100 percent convinced about a role, I will do it even if it is bold,” says Madalasa and also adds that she is not averse to acting in bold movies that Bhatts are famous for making in Bollywood. “It’s a genre that is liked by people and I don’t have a problem in doing such roles,” explains Madalasa.
