I have never received commercial acclaim - Sajid Khan

While critics may have lambasted Humshakals, masses have not exactly given the movie a thumbs down. With a collection of 50 crore at the Indian box-office and 26 more worldwide, Humshakals have given its producers and more importantly Sajid Khan, a reason to smile. To celebrate the same, producer Vashu Bhagnani and Fox studios threw a late night success party at a five star yesterday. Sajid looked jubilant and said that the collections have made him happy. "I am happy that the movie has done well and is enthralling the masses. People have been appreciating it and that is what matters. Also the music especially the song 'Caller Tune' has become a monstrous hit." The director didn't sound too worried about critics giving the movie a sound drubbing. When we asked him about it, Sajid said, "I have never received commercial acclaim. So that okay. Everyone is entitled to have their own opinion. Audience especially kids I am told are loving the movie." As of now, Sajid intends to take a 10 day break. And when quizzed about Humshakals 2, Sajid said, "I will have to think about it. It will be practically difficult because the sequel needs to have double the number of Humshakals. So as of now, there are no such plans." Well, we wonder what critics would have to say if Humshakals 2 comes into existence.
