MUMBAI: Shoojit Sircar has brought back another story which is sure to stir up a lot of emotions in you. Instead of diving deep into the matter, let’s walk slowly for a change. We have earlier seen movies like October, Piku, Gulabo Sitabo, Vicky Donor and many more movies from Shoojit Sircar. Once again, in ‘I Want To Talk’ we get to see a story with warm frames that have emotions which touch your heart.

Abhishek Bachchan has once again given us a really memorable character and has played it very well. However, what surprises us more is when we come to discover that Abhishek Bachchan’s character of Arjun is based on a real-life person named Arjun Sen. After 20 surgeries, having the strength to bring up a daughter, and running a marathon, it is really surprising that the person is still alive and walking on this planet.

While Abhishek Bachchan plays the character really well, other actors also don’t fail to play their part, especially Johnny Lever, who is known and loved for comedy majorly, has played a serious character here and its refreshing to see the actor in such a unique light. Even Ahilya Bamroo and Jayant Kriplani have given engaging performances.

Shoojit Sircar and Ritesh Shah have teamed up once again after Sardar Udham. Seems like the director has an odd attraction and love for life-death stories and also likes rekindling of connections. It is something we have witnessed in his movies earlier and this time as well. Yet, it was refreshing and soothing to watch the movie. Though the screenplay and writing was really good, something about the movie leaves you wanting to see more.

When talking about the BGM (by Taba Chake) and dialogues (by Ritesh Shah), it was all blended well and kept us engaged for a while. However, the flow of the story somehow loses us at some points while keeps us gripped in some other.

In conclusion, the emotional and physical struggle of Arjun Sen is worth watching but the story could have given us more depth in emotions.

Tellychakkar gives this movie 3.5/5.
