MUMBAI: Producer and actor Ajay Kumar Singh is currently producing 4 films at a go which is a remake of Spanish film Julia’s Eyes. The Bengali and Marathi versions have been completed and now the Tamil and Telugu versions will start. In all the four films Ajay will be seen acting as well. Ajay who belongs to Bhojpur, Bihar believes somewhere the standard of Bhojpuri has gone down and that’s the reason he is trying to bring it up. Speaking on that Ajay says,”I have been often asked that why I have not considered to produce a Bhojpuri film? I will do it one day and will take Bhojpuri cinema to a different height. Stalwarts like Mohammad Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar have sang for Bhojpuri movies. A song in Maine Pyar Kiya Kahe Toh Se Sajna has been used in the film. The standards were high earlier but people like Niruha, Khesari Lal Yadav, Pawan Singh they not done justice to it. The standards are quite low and as a Bihari, I feel very bad. I have some plans on the producing, that will take shape in few years. The quality of films today is so bad that you can’t watch a film with your family.”
In the adaptation Of Julia’s Eyes there is an interesting cast all the four film has. In the Marathi film (Adrushya), Manjari Fadnis is the lead. For the Tamil film (Un Paarvail) There is Parvati Nair, Ganesh Venkatraman and for the Telugu film (Agochara) we have Isha Chawla and Sunil. And for Bengali film (Antardrishti) Rituparna Sengupta is the lead. The film is directed by famous cinematographer Kabir Lal.
