I would like to thank Anurag for giving me my first film - Huma Qureshi

Huma Qureshi
Post the separation of Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin, Huma Qureshi’s life has come under intense scrutiny with rumours doing the rounds that she was the reason behind the couple’s split. In an interview with a women’s magazine, Huma chose to clear the air by saying that she was not the reason why Anurag and Kalki went their separate ways. Although Huma these days avoids all questions about Anurag or anything that remotely links her with the director, she still doesn’t shy away from crediting him for giving her the first major break in Bollywood with Gangs of Wasseypur. When we asked her on who she would like to thank for having made it in Bollywood, Huma drew a long list which included her parents, brother and theater teacher and finally Anurag Kashyap from Bollywood. “I would like to thank Anurag for giving me my first film that helped me establish myself as an actress.” Huma also gave us a detailed insight on the super qualities her man of dreams should posses. “My man has to be very tall, intelligent and should have a good sense of humour as I find that really attractive. He should be kind and compassionate too and be able to hang out with me and do stupid things which I feel is very important.” When quizzed on whether that man should be from Bollywood, Huma said that was not a criterion. “It doesn’t really matter whether he is from Bollywood or not. What matters is that we should understand each other and spend time well together and get bored with each other,” said Huma before quickly adding that he should also be good looking. Huma will soon be seen in Dedh Ishqiya acting as the love interest of Arshad Warsi. Talking about her chemistry with Arshad, Huma said, “While Naseer and Madhuri are more on the poetic level of romance, me and Arshad are the young, wild and mental lovers in the movie.” Huma as a wild lover! Well now that’s something which will definitely draw audience in hordes to their nearby theaters.
