If offered, I am ready to act in Dhoom sequels; also keen to play anti-hero roles - Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan
Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 is yet to hit silver screens in India but buzz has already started building up for the franchise’s next sequel Dhoom 4 and its casting. While some suggested the name of south Indian actor Ajith of Arrambam fame, we feel, YRF need not look beyond their favourite Shah Rukh Khan, who we think would be the perfect man to play the role of an anti-hero in this action packed franchise. And the good news is the superstar himself has expressed his desire to be a part of the forthcoming sequels, if offered the same. When we asked Shah Rukh Khan yesterday if he would like to be a part of any of Dhoom’s forthcoming sequels, the actor replied in positive. “I would love to do action films despite having suffered injuries. I will have to take care of my shoulder and back but yes if I am offered one, I will certainly do it.” Much before Shah Rukh attained the role of the quintessential lover boy of Indian cinema; he tasted much success by playing roles that were anti-hero in nature and character. Darr, Baazigar, Anjaam were a few movies where Shah Rukh played the anti-hero to the hilt and with good effect. Of late, Shah Rukh is however, seen more in family oriented roles, playing the good man who ultimately ends up fighting for the heroine. When asked if he would like to get into the shoes of an anti-hero in future, King Khan gave a thumping yes. “It’s been a long time since I have played one on-screen now. I don’t take up anti-hero roles because my children don’t like to see me playing something that is negative. Even in Don, my character was very stylish. So I wouldn’t call it an anti-hero per say. But to answer your question, yes I would like to do an anti-hero role, if I am offered one,” said Shah Rukh with a smile on his face. Now, for all those fans who think Shah Rukh would make for a perfect anti-hero in an action packed movie like Dhoom, you may just get your wish fulfilled for the Badshah himself has expressed his desire to be a part of it. Hope Aditya Chopra is listening!
