IFFI to pay tribute to Pran by screening three of his films

The 44th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) that is to be held in Goa from 20 to 30 November (2013) will pay tribute to Pran who passed away in July this year. Observed IFFI director Shankar Mohan, “As per the festival’s tradition, IFFI pays tribute to noted film personalities who passed away. IFFI invites their family members, friends and well-wishers to attend the screenings of the artiste’s best works.” As part of the tribute, three of the villain turned character actor’s films namely Madhumati, Jis Desh Main Ganga Behti Hai and Zanjeer will be screened. The films would be screened either on the third or the fourth day of the festival. Present on the occasion would be the actor’s son Sunil Sikand and daughter Pinky Bhalla. The actor’s wife Shukla is also slated to attend the screening. It may be remembered that a special homage was paid to Yash Chopra at the festival last year.
