Imtiaz Ali's unending love for Kashmir

One of the last schedules of Imtiaz Ali's Highway is being currently shot in Kashmir where the crew is filming at some stunning locations. In one of his other engagements in the valley, the filmmaker addressed students of the University of Kashmir's Media studies department. Answering a query as to what brings him back to the valley time and again, Ali shot back saying, "Because your valley looks beautiful on camera." But it’s not the beauty of Kashmir alone that drew Imtiaz there; he did have a reason. In Rockstar, his lead pair rediscovered life in Kashmir while in Highway, Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt are dogged by death at every step. Ali's love affair with Kashmir does not end with the Highway. He intends to return to the valley with his yet-untitled next. Kashmir is one of the six states, along with Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Himachal, where the film has been shot. The film releases worldwide on 13 December.
