MUMBAI: Bollywood actor-director Farhan Akhtar exchanged wedding vows with long-time girlfriend Shibani Dandekar on February 19, with close friends, family, and several members from the industry in attendance, at Khandala.

Farhan and Shibani have been dating for around four years. After keeping their relationship a secret for a while, they made their first public appearance as a couple when they attended Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s reception in Mumbai. In 2021, Shibani got a tattoo of Farhan’s name on her neck on her birthday. Farhan and Shibani’s beautiful wedding ceremony was attended by Rhea Chakraborty, Satish Shah, Ashutosh Gowariker and Ritesh Sidhwani. Hrithik Roshan was also seen making his presence felt at the do with his parents, Rakesh and Pinkie Roshan.
Recently, Farah Khan, who had also attended the do, took to her social media handle to share a picture of herself with Shibani from her wedding day and wrote, ‘sis in law Shibani Dandekar #womeninlove.’
Reposting the picture on her Instagram, Shibani wrote, ‘Love you sooooo much! Married Farhan just to be your sister in law.’ Farhan and Farah are cousins. Farah's mother Menaka and Farhan's mother Honey Irani are sisters.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Farhan will be taking over the directorial reins once again for his upcoming film, ‘Jee Le Zaraa’. The actor-filmmaker has managed to bring together actors like Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif for the first time in the film.
