MUMBAI: After impressing critics with her performance in ‘The Family Man 2’, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is now looking at a debut in Hindi films. While Naga Chaitanya will mark his Bollywood debut with ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, co-starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s separation in October 2021 left fans in shock. The couple’s dreamy romance and fairy tale wedding came crashing down after years of togetherness. When they were together, Samantha has described Chaitanya as ‘husband material’.

In an interview with Lakshmi Manchu, the actress had shared, “I remember I didn’t have money to make a call to my mother from the US. I took his phone and made a call home. Chay has seen me from that to this, so how can it be anybody else, right? Anybody else only knows me halfway. As a human being also, he has seen me make the most horrible mistakes."

Announcing their separation, Samantha and Naga had shared, “We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us."

For the unversed, recently, the South starlet wished her friend and director Nandini Reddy on her birthday with a heartfelt message. Taking to her Instagram handle, Samantha shared pictures with Nandini to mark the filmmaker’s special day. On the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will next be seen in Vignesh Shivan's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, co-starring Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. She also has Gunasekar's Shaakuntalam.
