International Yoga Day: Jacqueline Fernandez speaks about the benefits and importance of Yoga

Jacqueline Fernandez

MUMBAI: Jacqueline Fernandez is a strong advocate for women's well-being, particularly when it comes to health and fitness. This International Yoga Day, the actress is urging women to embrace this practice for its amazing benefits.

Talking about the importance of Yoga in her day to day life, the actress shares, "India has blessed the world with the practice of Yoga.  For me, Yoga is an everyday ritual. The reason I use the word ritual and not routine is because this is the most sacred part of my day where I experience balance, tranquility and energy to carry on the rest of my day. I rotate weekly with other forms of fitness like dance, weights, reformer Pilates & gymnastics but yoga is an everyday practice."

Further talking about how Jacqueline uses yoga to improve her mental wellbeing, she shares a personal anecdote from her life and adds, "A few years ago, a close family member that lives abroad, was hospitalised with serious illness and until I could get there, I practiced yoga to still my mind and re-centre my thoughts from worry to sending healing energy."

Jacqueline's journey with yoga started years ago as we’ve seen her regularly post pictures of herself doing Yoga on social media, and it's become more than just a workout routine. It's a holistic approach to maintaining physical and mental strength.
