At the music launch of Dilliwali Zaalim Girlfriend, it was the apparent cold vibes shared between lead actresses Ira Dubey and debutant Prachi Mishra that caught our roving eye.
Prachi who is making her debut with the movie basked in greater spotlight with three songs featuring her being played at launch yesterday. Dressed in a sizzling backless blouse, Prachi looked ready to kill with her hot looks. Brimming with confidence, the leggy lass even took to stage three times to shake a leg during the live performance. The singers too looked gung ho on getting Prachi more onto the stage for some strange reason.
Ira, on the other hand, looked a little less chirpier than her usual self. During the press conference on the stage too, it was Prachi and debutant director Japinder Kaur who did the major talking. Ira unfortunately, happened to be the last one to be asked questions by the emcee, a fact she sarcastically pointed out on as well. "Mereko bhool gaye aap," said Ira to the emcee.
Surprisingly, despite being one of the leads, Ira has failed to find a place on the posters of the movie which is dominated by Divyendu Sharma and Prachi Mishra. When we asked her about the same, Ira nonchalantly said, "I am not there because I am not the Zaalim girlfriend." Also what didn't go unnoticed was Ira thanking everyone from Japinder to Divyendu but Prachi in her speech. Quite a cold shoulder given to the debutant we felt.
Interestingly, post the press conference we overheard Ira telling her manager after completing a round of electronic media interviews, "Yeh kya briefing hai yaar. Let's leave."
However when we texted Ira for a reaction, the talented actress denied sharing any cold vibes with Prachi at the event. Wrote Ira in her message, " No nothing like that. The music has Prachi in 3 numbers that's all- wait and watch the film! There is plenty of chirpiness and Ira. Prachi and I were together through the day and at her home getting ready before the event so maybe we just focused on work at hand dear, no cold vibes! Thanks for writing and please go watch the film on March 20th!!"
All's well that ends well, we say.
