MUMBAI: Ishq Vishk, released in 2003, a movie that showed the innocence, cuteness and complications of college romance was loved by the audience and is considered as one of the most memorable movies by the 90s kids.
The Ken Ghosh directorial had a pretty impressive cast too as it consisted of Shahid Kapoor, Shenaz Treasurywala and Amrita Rao. The trio became an instant hit but what caught everyone’s attention was Shahid Kapoor, the chocolaty star of that movie who made his debut with it.
On the other hand, Nipun Dharmadhikari brought ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’ for the new generation and this movie is a remake of the 2003 movie. This time, the movie cast features actors like Jibraan Khan, Rohit Saraf, Naila Grrewal and Pashmina Roshan. Ishq Vishk Rebound released on 21st June and the opening day collections were around Rs 1 Cr.
Here's something that needs more attention. While there are people in the audience expressing how they weren't so impressed by Pashmina Roshan, they also felt that Naila Grrewal had the potential to steal the show if she was to get more screentime.
Everyone has been talking about Naila Grrewal's chemistry with Rohit Saraf in the screen and it seems that the audience really saw a possibility that sadly didn't turn out to be a reality of the story. Therefore, fans are wishing for the makers to come up with a spin-off based on Naila Grrewal's character of Riya. 'I would want to see the incomplete story of Riya and Raghav' says a fan of Naila Grrewal. There are fans who also feel that Riya's spin-off movie can also feature another actor completely with Raghav's cameo showing how wrong Raghav was in leaving Riya mid-way.
Well, it'll be interesting to see if the makers really come up with a spin-off.
