MUMBAI: Actor Mohit Dagga, who has been a part of TV shows like Left Right Left, Bairi Piya, Ek Mutthi Aasmaan, and Tera Yaar Hoon Main, to name some, made his Bollywood debut with Vikram Bhatt's Tumko Meri Kasam, which released in theatres on March 21. He is grateful for this opportunity and shared that it was a dream for him.
"After 22 years I am seeing myself on the 70mm screen, and it's nothing but pure joy. For me, this is the happiest thing instead of thinking, How was this character, and how was it not?'" he said.
He also credited filmmaker Vikram Bhatt for his vision and executing it effortlessly. He revealed that post his audition, when he was selected for the role, he even went to thank him, and he replied, "You are very welcome."
Mohit further shared that "Vikram sir is a very sweet and emotional person. I have never seen him screaming. He will talk very softly, and he will explain the scene the same way. The set is so peaceful, and having spent a long time in the industry, I know there is a lot of shouting and yelling that happens on a set. I have so much gratitude for him."
He went on to confess that the movie is certainly a milestone in his career and also thanked his co-stars for being so supportive. "A film is a film, and I had such a wonderful cast around me. Esha Deol is so sweet, and she doesn't have any air about coming from the Deol family or being Hema ji's daughter. I sent a video to Dharam Ji on his birthday through her, and he replied via a video. It was amazing. Sushant (Singh) Bhai was very good. I enjoyed working with him. Though we were not familiar with each other, this film gave me the opportunity to get to know him," he said.
"Then, of course, there was Anupam (Kher), sir. I was able to develop a very good bond with him in such a short time, courtesy of the film," Mohit ended.
