MUMBAI: Jacqueline Fernandez was supposed to perform at the IPL Grand opening ceremony but she chose to stay with her ill mother who was hospitalized in Lilawati Hospital. As per reports, Jacqueline’s mother, Kim Fernandez was shifted to ICU.
There were reports stating that Kim Fernandez has passed away battling cancer but there is no truth to the matter. In fact, Kim has been recovering.
IPL 2025 began on a high note with a match between RCB vs KKR. While the latter won, there were more exciting matches waiting ahead on Sunday. Even before the match commenced, the audience were very passionately watching the Opening ceremony performances. This year, we had Shah Rukh Khan, Disha Patani, Karan Aujla and Shreya Ghoshal.
While Jacqueline did not make it to the event, her decision was respected by her fans. Support and heartfelt messages have been pouring in for Jacqueline and her family, as fans and well-wishers continue to offer their prayers and strength during this challenging time. Several members of the film fraternity have also extended their support, expressing their hopes for Kim Fernandez’s swift recovery.
