Carrie Underwood a 'total homebody'

Singer Carrie Underwood and her spouse have become "total homebodies" since welcoming their son Jacob into the world last week.

An insider said, "They are total homebodies. They rarely leave their home at night and love the outdoors and often go for walks."

The Cry pretty hitmaker lives a "quiet life" with her family, and is said to love teaching Isaiah about animals, as he's interested in fishing and visiting zoos.

Speaking to leading publication, the source added, "Carrie lives a very quiet life. They take Isaiah fishing, to the zoo and to farms so he can learn about animals. They very much live a farm life and seem to love it."

Carrie gave birth to Jacob after going through the devastation of three miscarriages, and sources recently said she and Mike are feeling "truly blessed" to have a "healthy" son.

An insider said, "They are just so beyond overjoyed with their healthy baby. It has been a rough few years with the miscarriages and the accident and they did not even know if they had got to this point. They are feeling truly blessed.";

The Before He Cheats singer endured three miscarriages during a two-year time period, and she previously admitted she was left feeling "angry" by the ordeal, reports leading publication.

She said, "I had always been afraid to be angry. Because we are so blessed. And my son, Isaiah, is the sweetest thing. And he's the best thing in the world. And I'm like, 'If we can never have any other kids, that's okay, because he's amazing.' And I have this amazing life. Like, really, what can I complain about? I can't.

"I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, an incredible job, an incredible kid. Can I be mad? No. (But after the miscarriages,) I got mad. (I thought), 'Why on Earth do I keep getting pregnant if I can't have a kid?' Like, what is this? Shut the door. Like, do something. Either shut the door or let me have a kid."

Jacqueline Jossa slams 'disgusting' trolls

Actress Jacqueline Jossa has slammed social media users for criticising her children's appearance.

Jossa, who is a mother to three-year-old Ella and seven-month-old Mia, took to Instagram and called out to people saying "trolls need help", reports dailymail.co.uk.

She said, "If you wanna say something about my kids, expect a reply back, expect it to be rude and expect it to be about your face and your appearance.

"If you insult me, or you insult my kids more importantly, I'm gonna say something back to you. Or I will just block you..But just don't do it, how about that? Don't be a weird person."

The EastEnders star insisted that she doesn't care about trolls attacking her but cannot deal with her children being the centre of the negativity.

Drake gifts $10,000 to McDonald's workers

Rapper Drake has gifted $10,000 in cash to two female McDonald's employees at a store here.

The 32-year-old rapper stopped by one of the branches of the fast food giant over the weekend, and was photographed handing the impressive amount in cash to two female staff members.

An eyewitness tweeted a photograph of the exchange, which sees the rapper surrounded by two security guards, whilst holding out the cash to a shocked looking employee, reports leading publication.

The good deed comes after his 2018 music video for God's plan showed him handing out thousands of dollars in cash to people in Florida, paying for others' groceries and donating massive checks to institutions such as the Miami Fire Department and the University of Miami's Frost School of Music.

David Duchovny let go of family grudges

Actor David Duchovny let go of the grudges he held against his father after becoming a father himself because he realised how hard parenting can be.

"You let go of so much stuff. Because you're like, this is impossible! No wonder we all make mistakes. I probably didn't get as much of my dad as I wanted as a kid. There was always that kind of hunger for him," Duchovny told people.com.

His 19-year-old daughter Madelaine West has appeared in an episode of the revival of The X-Files, and the 58-year-old star said he was "nervous" to see her on set, but relaxed once he saw she was a natural on screen.

He said, "I was very nervous. Not necessarily that she was going to be on the show, but just that she was going to be on set and acting. I was way more nervous than I've ever been for myself.

"I was actually just telling this story with her the other day, and I saw her do one take and I was like 'She's fine, I'm leaving'. She was like 'Yeah, you left!' I said 'Yeah, you didn't need me.'"

Why Larson vomited a lot while making 'Captain Marvel'

Actress Brie Larson says doing actual flight training as a prep for Captain Marvel wasn't just intense, but made her sick too.

Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel introduces the MCU's first stand-alone, female-franchise title character --- Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, essayed by Larson.

"Oh, I puked a lot. That's part of how I got my call sign. All of the pilots were like you are not supposed to tell anybody that, and I was like 'I got no shame'," Larson said in a statement to a publication.

She added, "But we were simulating a dog fight, so I was like flipping around all which way. My pilot was so incredible and super-talented. It was just amazing to feel all of that, especially once we were back on set. When we were simulating a barrel roll, I was able to recall that exactly, what that feels like, what your body feels like, how hard it is to breathe.

"It's all of those little nuances that I hope will come through in the movie."

Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel follows Danvers' journey as she becomes one of the universe's most powerful heroes. Based on the comic book series, first published in 1967, Captain Marvel also stars Oscar winning Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn with Annette Benin and Jude Law.

Larson also said that her strength training didn't just transform her physically, but also helped her prepare mentally.

"A huge part of Captain Marvel is her strength. I knew if I could go through that experience, I would get closer to her and I'd understand her," she said.

Captain Marvel will release in India on 8 March in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

James Gunn in talks to direct 'Suicide Squad' sequel

Director James Gunn is in talks to direct the sequel to Suicide Squad.

Gunn, who was fired from helming the third instalment in his Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, was already writing the script for the sequel which Warner Bros. has slotted for an August 2021 release, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

Disney fired Gunn from his Marvel franchise in July after old tweets from 2008 and 2009 resurfaced in which he had made insensitive and controversial jokes.

Suicide Squad revolves around villainous characters like Deadshot, Harley Quinn, the Joker, Captain Boomerang and Killer Croc, who are forced into the service of the government in exchange for lighter sentences.

So much stigma attached to sexual crime: Richa Chadha

Actress Richa Chadha says there is so much stigma attached to sexual crime that sometimes it's impossible to get even the bravest women to speak up.

Last year, the Indian audience saw Richa in Love Sonia, a film which deals with the topic of human trafficking.

The Tabrez Noorani directorial released in the UK last week. To promote the film, the Indian actress appeared on a show hosted by Victoria Derbyshire on Monday. She also used the platform to speak about a variety of issues, including the #MeToo movement -- a global movement which is against sexual harassment and assault.

On #MeToo, she said, "It's upsetting that those women who have come out and spoken, many of them have received death threats, rape threats, for some their livelihood has been snatched away.

"Primarily, there's an issue of will and consent. There are many cases where a woman may have given the consent to sleep with somebody, but her will may not have been there because they will have a position of authority or power over the woman which they can blatantly abuse.

"So, this is a very tricky territory which we need to figure out to make this work, to create a supportive environment for women who speak out. The term for rape in Hindi is 'izzat lootna'. Its literal translation is losing your dignity. So, there's so much stigma attached to any kind of sexual crime that sometimes, it's impossible to get the bravest women to speak out...because this then, becomes that one thing that defines them," she added.

Speaking about the harsh standards of beauty for women, Richa said, "Today, it can be very confusing for young women... what you're supposed to do with your body. I believe that one should be healthy and exercise.

"Everybody should be allowed to be happy in their own skin without being called 'lazy' or 'unprofessional' or 'anorexic' or 'not womanly' enough. It's so harsh for women to keep up and adhere to these standards."
