MUMBAI: Actor Jay Thakkar, who has steadily gained recognition for his compelling performances across film and digital platforms, is all set to make a significant impact with his upcoming film Bhool Chuk Maaf. The much-anticipated movie features him alongside powerhouse performers Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, and marks a new milestone in Jay’s evolving cinematic journey.
Not much has been revealed about his character, nevertheless, in the trailer, a glimpse of his role looks quite promising. He will be playing one of the pivotal role in the movie and will be seeing in his comedy acting element.
After a trial of a number of releases and Jay sharing the screen space with actors like Shahrukh Khan, Adah Sharma, Divyanka Tripathi, Shahid Kapoor and many others. This movie will be a turning point in his career as he extravagantly puts forth his acting skills on the big screen.
Hey Said' "I prepared deeply for this role. I worked with a dialect coach and also spent time chatting in Banaras with local Banarasi people to understand their slang, tone, and rhythm. I gave this character months of prep—improvising, experimenting, and shaping it into something real. Even during dubbing, I added new lines, improvised fresh moments just to make it more layered and comical. I wanted to bring something fresh and rooted to the table.
Also, I want to thank Shivam Gupta and his amazing casting team for trusting me with this role. This is my second collaboration with him after Gullak Season 4, and he’s always believed in my vision, timing, and acting abilities. It’s rare to find people who genuinely back your talent—and I’ll always be grateful for that.
