KGF star Yash kick starts the filming of his upcoming film Toxic, Shares FIRST photo; 'The journey begins'

MUMBAI: Actor Yash from Kannada has started filming Toxic. Filming on the movie began today August 8 which will be his first since K.G.F: Chapter 2. On Thursday morning, Yash confirmed that the project had moved into the floors. Yash also had a new appearance in the photo, showing his attire for the movie.

Before the anticipated filming began, Yash and producer Venkat K. Narayana, together with their families, were spotted visiting a number of Karnataka temples. They visited the Kukke Subramanya Temple in Subramanya, the Shri Sadashiva Rudra Surya Temple, and the Shri Manjunatheshwara Temple in Dharmasthala as part of their spiritual journey.

To the joy of his fans, this ritual is in line with Yash's custom of praying for blessings and making sure his new endeavors get off to a good start.

Yash has not disclosed any information regarding the movie, however, a recent popular news portal article stated that Yash plays a dapper underworld boss. However, the way he is portrayed differs a lot from his KGF series persona.

The story takes a modern, global approach, characterizing the figure as an underworld don. The film's core explores a complex conflict that is intriguingly distinct from the conventional underworld genre, drawing inspiration from renowned worldwide series like Peaky Blinders.

Kiara Advani has been cast as the lead alongside Yash playing the role of the main man. Tamil actress Nayanthara has also been added to the movie as Yash's sister. Expectations are high for this latest phase of Yash's adventure as the film is slated for release in theatres on April 10, 2025.
