After a stellar 2023 with box office smashes like Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan took a well-deserved hiatus from acting. Now, after a two-year break, the King of Bollywood is officially back in action.
Filming for his much-awaited film ‘KING’ kicked off today at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai, marking the return of one of Indian cinema’s most iconic stars.
Since its announcement, King has stirred immense excitement among fans and the film fraternity alike. Touted as one of the most anticipated releases of 2026, the project boasts a power-packed ensemble cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghav Juyal, and Abhay Verma.

At the helm of this cinematic spectacle is director Siddharth Anand, who previously collaborated with SRK on the blockbuster Pathaan. With King, Anand promises to deliver yet another high-octane visual treat, blending action, drama, and intense emotion into a gripping revenge thriller.
Adding to the excitement is the on-screen debut of Suhana Khan alongside her father. The film marks the first time the father-daughter duo will share screen space, making King even more special for fans.
Suhana plays the role of SRK’s protégé, undergoing rigorous training for a series of perilous missions. Both actors are said to be undergoing demanding physical preparation to authentically portray their roles.
We had earlier reported that Suhana had already commenced filming. Now, we can exclusively reveal that the entire cast is set to head to Poland for an extensive month-long shooting schedule.
High-intensity sequences have already been captured in Mumbai under tight security to prevent any leaks, especially during the shoot in Bandra.
In 2023, Shah Rukh Khan stunned audiences with his seamless transition from romantic hero to action powerhouse, proving yet again why he remains a formidable presence in the film industry.
