MUMBAI : 'Devara :Part 1' is shaping up to be more than just your typical action-packed drama. During the trailer launch in Mumbai, when asked about what makes Devara so exciting, Man of Masses NTR Jr. revealed that the film dives into a mythical world, rich in drama and action, but with a fresh twist. This time, the protagonist stands against freedom, a bold narrative choice that adds complexity to the story. "Sometimes too much courage can be bad, there needs to be a balance," NTR Jr. said, hinting at the film’s deeper layers. It's this careful balance between power and restraint that sets Devara apart from other films in the genre.
Director Koratala Siva, known for blending commercial entertainment with meaningful stories shared his vision for the film, saying, “With ‘Devara: Part1' we are going to present a new world which nobody has tapped into before." This new world isn’t just about geography; it’s about the characters’ emotions and behaviors, which shape the overall tone. Each role is crafted to bring something fresh, elevating the movie’s mythic and dramatic elements.
What really sets 'Devara: Part1' apart is its unique world-building. The story is set in forgotten coastal regions of India but unfolds in a mythical, fictional landscape. NTR Jr. described it as "a world that feels familiar, like something we’ve seen before, but one we’ve never fully visualized." This blend of the real and the imaginary provides a captivating backdrop, adding intrigue to the action-packed story.
'Devara: Part 1' is set for release on September 27, 2024. The film is directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, with presentation by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. Alongside NTR Jr. and Janhvi Kapoor, the film features Saif Ali Khan in a key role.
