Mumbai Police were at the location of the alleged suicide yesterday to look into the death of Anil Mehta, Malaika's father, who jumped off his balcony. Police in Mumbai say that Anil Mehta's death seemed to be a suicide at first glance.
Things can only become evident after the police investigation is completed, and the post-mortem is currently underway. Malaika reportedly hurried to her mother's Bandra home as soon as this happened when she was in Pune.
When Anil Mehta killed himself, his wife was inside the apartment. Anil Mehta was observed by a building's occupant falling from the sixth story. After obtaining the witness's statement, the police looked through the CCTV records. There has been a recent development in this case.
Malaika shared a heartbreaking post that read, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishes during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support and respect.
