MUMBAI: Arjun Rampal has made headlines not just for his work but also personal life. The Rock On and Raajneeti fame actor shocked everyone when he decided to end his 20-year-old marriage with Mehr Jesia. Now, reportedly, he is on the verge of filing a divorce with Mehr.
The Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat actor is currently in a relationship with the South African model, Gabriella Demetriades. He recently announced his girlfriend’s pregnancy with an Instagram post. The actor doesn’t intend to keep Gabriella waiting for too long and buzz is that he is likely to get married to her.
Hence, he needs to be legally separated from his first wife for things to move at top speed. Going by media reports, Arjun has explained to Mehr that he needs to be freed to go ahead with solemnising his relationship with his girlfriend.
Meanwhile, according to a report in Mid-Day, Mehr has turned a wedding planner and she is setting up the stage to become one.
Reports also stated that when she came to know that Gabriella is expecting a baby, she took it sportingly.
For the uninitiated, Arjun and Mehr, who are parents to two lovely daughters, decided to end their marriage after 20 years of togetherness.
Their separation letter read, “After a 20-year-long beautiful journey filled with love and beautiful memories, we would like to share, that all journeys have different paths. We feel that it is time for us to move on to different destinations henceforth. We have always been solid when it has come to us, we will continue to be solid for each other and our loved ones, as we embark upon a new journey. Both of us being extremely private people feel strange to be making this statement, but such are the circumstances of our lives. Where the truth can get distorted and lost. We are a family, our love for each other is forever intact and we shall always be there for one another and most importantly, for our children Mahikaa and Myra. We would therefore appreciate our privacy through this time. Thank all for their support. Relationships can end, but love lives on. We won’t be commenting on this any further.”
