Now, the actor is all set for a comedy movie ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ and to make things even more exciting, the movie will feature Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh as female leads.
Bhumi Pednekar has been winning hearts since the moment she has entered the Hindi movie industry, be it with her performance in Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha or Saand Ki Aankh. The actress always gives her best and never feels to amaze us.
On the other hand, Rakul Preet Singh, who got married in February last year will feature in her first Hindi movie after her wedding and there’s no doubt about her making her presence as she has always made her name in the trends on social media with her pictures and social media posts.
Now, in an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, Bhumi Pednekar talked about director Mudassar Aziz being inspired by David Dhawan and revealed how this movie is an ode to Saajan Chale Sasural.
When asked if Mudassar Aziz is inspired by David Dhawan, Bhumi Pednekar said, “100 percent and I can say it on his behalf with a lot of surety because him and I have spoken about it many times. He says this film would be his ode to ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’, ‘Biwi No. 1’ and agar aap Pooja Films ki bhi trajectory dekhenge toh 90s ya early 2000s tak jis tareeke ki comedy, who toh pair tha na, David Dhawan and Pooja Films ka, woh combination tha. Jitni bhi filmein hits dekhi hai, uss sur ki filmein dekhi hai actually yehi se nikli hai and Mudassar sir really celebrates that…”
Mere Husband Ki Biwi is directed by Mudassar Aziz and stars Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh. The movie is all set to hit the big screens on 21st February.
