Director Raj Chakraborty is in complete awe of actress Mimi Chakraborty's singing prowess and it seems he just cant stop praising her talent. Raj has given the Bengali film industry numerous hits like Chirodini Tumi Je Amar, Challenge and the recent Katmundu. Mimi, who had started her career with television, is now one of the most popular leading actresses of B-town. She proved her acting prowess via flicks like Golpo Holeo Shotti, Proloy and Bojhena Shey Bojhena. The talented actress has added another feather to her cap by singing a song for an upcoming film titled Guti Malhar (Raj Chakraborty Productions). Praising her singing talent, the director said at a recently held press conference, “'As Mimi has been singing on stage recently, I had requested her to prove her talent to the people, by doing a playback. She was completely taken aback by my weird proposal. But, I had faith on her talent.” “So, I assured her and asked her to give it a try for once. I was amazed when I saw that Savvy (the musician) completed the recording within an hour. And I must say the song had taken me off my feet. I regretted giving away the song, but then it's okay.
