MUMBAI: This year, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are expecting their first child. The couple is keeping their family close by making time for each other and spending quality time together. The actress went out on a dinner date with Ranveer and her family on Monday night.

Ranveer was spotted protecting his wife from the media last night as she got into their car. The Piku actress looked lovely in a checkered shirt and pants, while the Gully Boy star dressed casually and kept things easy in a linen shirt and denim pants. They flashed off serious couple goals, and as they left, they gave a quick wave to the photographers.

On Friday night, Deepika and her mother had dinner together. She was seen leaving a classy restaurant wearing a chic black dress that hugged her figure, tucked under a denim jacket in blue.

Last month, Deepika Padukone shut down her trolls after she stepped out to promote her cosmetic brand, flaunting her million-dollar smile. Deepika has been facing immense scrutiny on social media ever since she stepped out to cast her vote in the fifth phase of the Mumbai Lok Sabha elections. It was the first time she appeared publicly with her baby bump. However, a section of the social media users called her bump ‘fake’.

Deepika smiled for the cameras during her skincare brand's promotional event, seemingly unaffected by any remarks made about her growing baby bump.

Senior journalist Faye D'Souza expressed her support for Deepika in a strong-worded statement on her official Instagram account amid the actress's continued social media harassment.

Deepika is handling her pregnancy at work in the meantime. She is currently filming Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty. She is going to play a ruthless police officer in the movie. Apart from this, Deepika will appear in Kalki 2898 AD, a film in which Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas co-star.
