MUMBAI: Nawazuddin Siddiqui made his Bollywood debut in 1999, with a small role in Aamir Khan starrer, Sarfarosh. Later, he apprared in few other small roles. His appearance in Anurag Kashyap's Black Friday (2007) paved way for other powerful roles. It was his role of a journalist in Aamir Khan Productions's Peepli Live (2010), that first got him recognition as an actor. He became a household name post Kahaani (2012), where he played the archetypal short-tempered intelligence officer Khan. Anurag Kashyap's gangster epic Gangs of Wasseypur followed which furthered his fame. His roles in Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Manjhi - The Mountain Man were praised by all.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui's wife Aaliya had settled in Dubai with their two kids. They are now back in Mumbai. However, it still remains to be seen if and when Nawaz and Aaliya start staying as a couple.
Aaliya was very happy when she moved to Dubai a little less than a year ago, and so were the children. But as time rolled by, they felt that they could not adjust much out there. Plus, Nawaz's busy schedules saw him reaching Dubai just once. It was not easy for the three of them to make Dubai their home. And, they missed India too. So, a few weeks back they decided that it is better if they relocate themselves in Mumbai.
A while ago, Aaliya reversed her decision to divorce Nawazuddin, to whom she was married for about a decade. Nawaz told a daily in the aftermath of the new development, "I prefer not to talk about my personal life, and I have never spoken ill of anyone. I don’t let negativity and hatred get to me. She is still the mother of my children, and we have shared a decade of our life together. I will always support her no matter what."
