Must Watch: Boney Kapoor shares a glimpse of Sridevi’s first wax figure at Madame Tussauds Singapore
MUMBAI: Regarded as the "first female superstar" of Indian cinema, late actress Sridevi was undoubtedly one of the most adorable Bollywood personalities. She was the recipient of various accolades and worked in various languages including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
The actress was born on 13 August 1963. Her sudden death on 24th February 2018 left the country in shock. But we are sure that she will continue to live on in our hearts and memories forever. On her birth anniversary this year, her husband and filmmaker Boney Kapoor took to his official Twitter handle to share that Madame Tussauds will be honouring Sridevi and her work by having her first ever wax figure immortalised. The day is finally here, and the gorgeous statue will be unveiled tomorrow at a grand event in Madame Tussauds Singapore at Ultimate Film Star Experience. The unveiling will also be live streamed on the official Instagram handle of Madame Tussauds Singapore for fans all over the globe.
Boney Kapoor, along with his younger daughter Khushi, flew to Singapore last night for the event and was joined by his elder daughter Janhvi today. Ahead of the grand event, the filmmaker took to his social media handle to share a glimpse of the superstar’s unique wax figure. Along with a short clip, he wrote the message: “Sridevi lives forever in not just our hearts but also in the hearts of millions of her fans. Eagerly waiting to watch the unveiling of her figure at Madam Tussauds, Singapore on September 4, 2019. #SrideviLivesForever”.
