A few days ago the excitement of film buffs knew no bounds when it was reported that Bollywood’s eternal Jodi Amitabh Bachchan were expected to team up in Anees Bazmee’s Welcome Back. It is said that the senior Bachchan was approached to play the role of don RDX which was played by the late Feroz Khan in Welcome while Rekha was to portray the role of a fashionista who finds herself in the centre of a love triangle. But as days went by, it came to light that the two wouldn’t be able to make it. While Rekha excused herself due to date issues, Bachchan sounded surprised when he observed, “I am not doing the film; nobody has approached me for this." Now we have come to know that Naseeruddin Shah and Dimple Kapadia will portray those parts in the film that follows the 2007 super hit film Welcome. It is said that this romcom will have Naseer essaying the role of the flamboyant don while Dimple will play the love interest of both Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar’s characters. John Abraham and Shruti Haasan will play the lead roles in this film.
