Nicki Minaj calls out Grammy Awards producer over bullying

Rapper Nicki Minaj has slammed Grammy Awards producer Ken Ehrlich for allegedly bullying her.

After the 2019 Grammy Awards ceremony here on Sunday, Minaj took to Twitter and called out Ehrlich saying she was bullied for seven years, reports foxnews.com.

Earlier, rapper Ariana Grande had criticised Ehrlich for "lying" about her reasons for pulling out of a performance at this year's Grammys.

The Bang bang hitmaker has announced she will not be performing at the BET Experience, a concert preceding the 2019 BET Awards in June.

Hours later, BET released a statement apologising for their Grammys coverage, stating, "BET loves Nicki Minaj. We have supported her from the very beginning of her career and will continue to do so moving forward...

"Unfortunately, the respect we have for Nicki was violated by this post that should never have been written. The post does not reflect how we feel about Nicki... We deeply apologize for the hurt, disappointment and confusion that this post has caused."

Katy Perry's fashion line under fire

Singer Katy Perry was slammed on social media for designing shoes which resembled 'blackface' imagery.

The shoes in question were black Rue Face Slip On Loafers and Ora Face Block Heel Sandals that have cut-out faces, red lips, big blue eyes and a triangular nose on the top, reports leading publication.

Social media users have compared the shoes to blackface make-up. One user even cited that "ignorance is never a fashion statement".

Following the backlash, the shoes were pulled out from the stores.

Perry and Global Brands Group issued the statement saying they did not have any intention to inflict any pain.

"The Rue and The Ora were part of a collection that was released last summer in nine different colorways (black, blue, gold, graphite, lead, nude, pink, red, silver) and envisioned as a nod to modern art and surrealism.

"I was saddened when it was brought to my attention that it was being compared to painful images reminiscent of blackface. Our intention was never to inflict any pain. We have immediately removed them from Katy Perry Collections," it read.

"I remember last year when I didn't win for Bodak Yellow, everybody was like, 'Cardi got snubbed, Cardi got snubbed'. Now this year's a f***ing problem? My album went two-time platinum. And every chart that there was, my album was always top 10. Number one album as well.
