MUMBAI: There are countless memories with MTV Beats, VH1 and Comedy Central. Comedy Central became the number 1 stop for audiences who are interested in watching some refreshing comedy shows. MTV Beats has been a name for many generations and VH1 has been a gateway for audiences who prefer western music AND also for Indian artists who are making English music.

Comedy Central played one of the most famous TV shows ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’ and many other shows like ‘The Big Bang Theory’, ‘Two and a Half Men’, ‘2 Broke Girls’ and ‘Brooklyn 99’ all day during the tough times of lockdown.

Unfortunately, now these channels are shutting down soon and it’s going to leave an unforgettable space.

In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar, Nikhita Gandhi talked about MTV Beats and VH1 shutting down and what it really means.

Nikhita Gandhi said, “I think there will always be new avenues to be supported as a musician, especially as a musician who is releasing music independently, I do both so a lot of my film and label related stuff has always been given support to by MTV Beats and I’m sure there is gonna be a void for that but I’m sure there will be new avenues to support music and I hope more and more avenues that truly support artists across all different genres and different infrastructure of releasing music.”

It has been announced that VH1, MTV Beats and Comedy Central will be shut from March 15, 2025.
