Controversial godman and Dera Saccha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's movie, MSG: The Messenger of God has now reportedly invited the wrath of the censor board. The movie which stars Ram Rahim as himself has not been given censor clearance certificate yet.
The censor board has reportedly taken objections to Ram Rahim's alleged attempt to portray himself as God. His acts of performing miracles and curing terminal diseases are also said to be a major bone of contention.
For now, the movie has been referred to the Film Certification Apellate Tribunal (FCAT). "It has been unanimously decided to refer the film to the tribunal FCAT," CBFC chairperson Leela Samson was quoted telling the press.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the film Aditya Insaan has claimed that the film doesn't depict Ram Rahim Singh as God in any way.
"In the promo, he clearly mentions that he is a normal human being. He is the hero of the film and does what other heroes do - fight evils of the society. We are now awaiting the revising panel's decision," Insaan was quoted saying.
MSG: The Messenger of God, is slated to hit silver screens on January 16. The movie has already garnered enough hits on YouTube and other social networking platforms. Let's wait and see if this one gets past Censor Board.
