OMG fame Umesh Shukla to direct a social comedy

Fresh from the success of his Paresh Rawal-Akshay Kumar starrer Oh My God! Umesh Shukla is all set to direct his next for T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar and producer Varun Bajaj. Avers Kumar, “We are happy to announce Abhishek Bachchan as the lead of our ambitious next directed by Umesh Shukla. Last year has indeed been good for both; Abhishek with Bol Bachchan and Umesh with OMG!. My co-producers and I agreed that Abhishek fits the role. We didn’t even think of anyone else.” While Abhishek Bachchan has been confirmed to play the lead in the film that delves into the equation between a man and his son. However, details of the rest of the star cast are being kept under wraps. Adds Bajaj, “After Oh! My God, we wanted to do a social comedy with Umeshji. This film is based on a father and son relationship. The film is funny as well as emotional. It gives out a message in the end.” The yet untitled film will go on floors later this year.
