MUMBAI : Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal needs no introduction. He has been a part of over 200 films in his career span and won millions of fans for it. The actor has been part of some of the most successful Bollywood films like Hera Pheri, OMG: Oh My God, Welcome and many more. Some of his characters have become iconic and one of them is Baburao from Hera Pheri.
Known by most as Babu Bhaiya, Paresh Rawal plays Baburao Ganpatrao Apte in the 2000 film Hera Pheri. The audience started calling the senior actor by name since the elderly man in dire need of money became so well-liked.
In reality, upon careful inspection of the advertisement for the 2003 movie Hungama, which indicates the absence of Nandan Apte, or Nandu (played by Aftab Shivdasani), we find that his father's name is Seth Baburao Ganpatrao Apte.
Another noteworthy allusion from Hera Pheri was discovered in the 2004 motion picture Hulchul. When Suniel Shetty, aka Veeru, deftly introduces his kin into Anjali's wedding location, he refers to Murari (played by Paresh Rawal) as Babu Bhaiya.
The multi-genre actor, comedian, is now working on his next drama film Sarfira, which stars Seema Biswas, Radhika Madan, and Akshay Kumar. In addition, he will perform with the group Welcome To The Jungle.
