Parineeti Chopra ditches luxury car for a jetty ride with aam aadmi for Siyaram's event

Parineeti Chopra

Bollywood actors and divas are often known to throw great fits when refused the lap of luxury while on shoots. However, Parineeti Chopra did exactly the opposite at the launch of Siyaram's first ever women's line Siya for women. She chucked her luxury car and other comforts offered by the clothing giant and chose to travel by the local jetty to reach the venue well in time for the shoot and press conference. Here's what happened.

Madh Island was the location chosen by Siyaram for the press conference to announce Parineeti as their first ever women clothing line's brand ambassador. Reaching the spot in Madh via Malad would have taken a good couple of hours or more given the traffic. The organisers offered to ferry Parineeti in a luxury car to the venue. When Parineeti learnt about the same and the criminal wastage of time involved in travelling by road to Madh, she immediately decided to take the local jetty from Versova to Madh. On conveying the same to Siyaram, the personnel incharge decided to organise a luxury cruise for Parineeti so that she wouldn't have to take the local jetty, an arrangement that would have cost the company around 5000 rupees.

Says a source, "Parineeti was offered two options -the luxury car or the luxury cruise. But to our surprise, she said that she would like to travel by the jetty like a commoner."

The jetty which takes less than three minutes to reach Madh from Versova was finally used by Parineeti. The actress who was reportedly surrounded by a few bodyguards as precautionary measure absolutely loved the short ferry ride and also attracted admirable attention from other passengers.

When asked about it, Parineeti was modesty personified. "I loved travelling by the jetty and it made my commute very easy."

Well, hope other stars would take a leaf out of Parineeti's simple ways.
