MUMBAI: On September 22, Payal Ghosh filed an FIR against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap for the offense of rape, wrongful restrain, wrongful confinement and outraging the modesty of a woman at the Versova police station. Now, allegedly the director is likely to be summoned by the police for interrogation in connection with Payal’s complaint.
Meanwhile, today Ghosh will be visiting the Governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh to submit a written letter requesting for Y-category security as she claims that her life is under threat.

Earlier, the ‘Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi’ actress told reporters outside Versova police station that she would go on a hunger strike if the police took no action against Kashyap. Demanding Kashyap’s arrest, Payal’s lawyer wrote on Twitter, “Payal Ghosh & @nitin_satpute will be visiting to Versova P. Stn, to ask police why accused not yet arrested, when poor man commits offence like rape, police immediately act & arrest them without any prob & prob starts latter, 2 different law 4 poor & rich”
“I have put down a case against a culprit who even others are convicted of similar acts and I am the one who is grilled and questioned. While the alleged and the guilty is chilling at his home,” tweeted Payal.
