Just yesterday there were reports that T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar was gearing up to start shooting of his next, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Roy from this March end.
But his film has faced its first hurdle. And the hurdle happens to be Preity Zinta. The producer-actress has filed an FIR against Nataraja, the director of photography (DOP) of the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer that is to be directed by debutant Vikramjit Singh. This, in turn, has affected Roy’s shooting schedule.
However, Vikramjit has gone on record saying that he would wait for Nataraja.
The Ishq in Paris producer has reasoned that Nataraja took an advance of Rs 20 lakh from her and is yet to return the amount despite dropping out of the film.
According to insiders she had signed Nataraja for Rs 85 lakh for her film of which she had given him Rs 20 lakh as a signing amount. He had worked on the film for eight months before he was dropped. The DoP is of the feeling that he was entitled for the advance.
Now in his bid to break the ice, Nataraja has now approached Anil Mehta, the industry's senior cinematographer to play the mediator. Last weekend he met the actress too in this connection.
