MUMBAI: Madhur Bhandarkar recently provided an intriguing glimpse into the commitment of stars such as Priyanka Chopra and Tabu to his productions known for his highly acclaimed films such as Corporate, Page 3, and Fashion. The filmmaker disclosed to the popular news portal that these leading actresses "slashed" their prices drastically to ensure that the movie could be made without monetary difficulties.
Bhandarkar mentioned clearly that Tabu acted in Chandni Bar, and agreed to an unusual payment plan. “We had a budget of just Rs 1.5 crore for Chandni Bar. Tabu took money against the Bombay or Delhi territory and didn’t charge any other fee,” he explained.

Other actresses that collaborated with Bhandarkar, such as Raveena Tandon, Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra, and Kareena Kapoor, also echoed this selfless gesture.
These actresses reduced their market fees for movies like Satta, Corporate, Fashion, and Heroine since they knew their career depended on the movie's performance as a whole.
Bhandarkar underlined that these actresses were more concerned with the project's creative integrity than with getting paid.
“They were keen on making these movies, and they didn’t want to burden the film with their fees,” he said.
Bhandarkar mentioned the growing expenses of actors' entourages in the same conversation, which can greatly increase a movie's budget. Although he had never faced unnecessary demands, he pointed out that the costs associated with these entourages are mostly determined by the total budget of the movie.
Multiple National Film Awards winner Bhandarkar also made hints about a possible sequel to his popular movie Fashion, which starred Priyanka Chopra. He said he has enough material to extend the tale for two or three seasons, but he isn't sure if it will be an OTT series or a movie.
