R. Kelly music put on hold by label
Amidst sexual assault allegations against singer R. Kelly, the label RCA/Sony has decided not to put any more money behind his projects.
The 52-year-old singer-songwriter has two more albums on his contract with the label, but now RCA/Sony has put his songs on hold until the criminal investigations finish, reports leading publication.
It is not clear whether Kelly has a morals clause in his contract, which could allow the flagship recording label of Sony Music Group to end their work with him.
The Same Girl hitmaker is accused of running an 'abusive cult' in the documentary Surviving R Kelly, which claims he preyed on dozens of young women.
Chris Pratt, Katherine Schwarzenegger engaged
Actor Chris Pratt and girlfriend Katherine Schwarzenegger, daughter of veteran actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, are engaged.
The couple is ready to tie the knot following a whirlwind romance that saw them fall for each other over the summer and spend plenty of quality time with Pratt's six-year-old son Jack, reports leading publication.
Pratt shared the news in an Instagram post on Monday.
"Sweet Katherine, so happy you said 'yes'! I'm thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go," he captioned an Instagram photo of himself cuddling up to Schwarzenegger, whose engagement ring was very visible.
The news has come just two days after Pratt, 39, helped Schwarzenegger, 29, move from her Santa Monica, California home.
Pratt and Schwarzenegger were first seen together on Father's Day last year when they had a picnic in the park in Santa Barbara. They were later seen on dates around Los Angeles and outings with Jack in tow.
The engagement comes over a year after Pratt announced his separation from Anna Faris in August 2017 after almost nine years of marriage. This was the first relationship for the star since his divorce.
Pratt and Faris settled their divorce last November.
Drew Scott hints at fatherhood
Actor Drew Scott, 40, sparked speculation that he is going to be a father soon when he commented on actor Joanna Gaines' Instagram photo.
Gaines' photo featured her six-month-old baby son Crew rocking an onesie he has outgrown, reports leading publication.
"I think it's time for the next size up #sixmonths," Gaines captioned the post.
On this, Scott commented, "We'll be having kids soon, so I'll hit you up for hand me downs."
Fans went wild in the comments section. "Omg omg omg. I'm excited!" wrote one, while another penned, "Woohoo! Those will be some beautiful hand me downs. Looking forward to seeing Beautiful Linda with a little baby bump!"
In May 2018, Scott and his wife Linda Phan, 33, married in Italy after several years of dating.
‘Aquaman' crosses $1 billion worldwide
Warner Bros. Pictures' Aquaman has crossed the $1 billion mark with its worldwide box office collections over one month since it reigned supreme in its first market, China.
The DC superhero adventure, helmed by James Wan, held the top spot in the world four weeks in a row internationally and the top spot for three weeks in North America.
The announcement was made by Ron Sanders, President of Worldwide Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures Group and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, read a statement.
"We're thrilled audiences around the world have embraced Aquaman in such a big, big way. Jason, the filmmakers and the team at DC have delivered a film that people love, and we are so appreciative of their support," Sanders said.
Wan said, "Firstly, massive love and thank you to the fans and audiences around the world. Humbled by the way you've embraced Aquaman and how it has resonated on a global scale. I'll forever be indebted to Jason for turning Aquaman into one of the coolest, cinematic Super Heroes ever, and becoming the gold standard for this character for generations to come."
He thanked the film's cast members for "breathing life into our beloved characters".
"And, of course, this movie wouldn't be what it is without the incredible achievement of everyone involved, from the heads of department to every single crew member, who demanded utmost excellence in helping design and create this cinematic experience."
The film tells the origin story of the half-surface dweller, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry that takes him on the journey of his lifetime -- one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king. The action-packed adventure spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, and stars Jason Momoa in the title role.
It also stars Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Oscar winner Nicole Kidman.
Aquaman has been released in 3D and 2D and IMAX, and is distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
