MUMBAI: Writer-filmmaker Raaj Shaandilyaa, who forayed into Bollywood with Ayushmann Khurrana's blockbuster hit 'Dream Girl', has signed actor Sonu Sood for his next production titled Kisaan.
Directed by filmmaker E Niwas, Sood will play the lead role in the film. Although the entire cast of the movie hasn’t been finalised yet, fans have already begun speculating about this new project. Meanwhile, after the film was announced, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to send his good wishes to the team.
It is said that Shaandilyaa has been taking a lot of interest in bankrolling films and launching new talent. He is also producing Janhit Mein Jaari, which stars Nushrratt Bharuccha opposite 'Thappad' actor Pavail Gulati.
The film will be produced under the banner of Think Ink Picturez.
