MUMBAI: The horror-comedy Stree featuring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor broke box office records. It successfully managed to scare people as well as make them laugh out loud. The twist in the tale in the end left the audience wanting more. Stree marked the directorial debut of Amar Kaushik and proved to be a winner with the audience and critics alike. Now, those who have been eagerly waiting for its sequel, here’s some good news.
Well, a while ago, reports did the rounds that Stree will be getting a sequel soon but now, it seems the film will be converted into a trilogy. The writers of Stree, filmmakers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, better known as Raj and DK, during an interview with Asian Age, confirmed that part two and three will come out soon and they have started working on it. Not just this, Raj and DK also confirmed a sequel to the 2013 released Go Goa Gone starring Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu, Anand Tiwari and Vir Das. “We will surely make the second and the third part soon. We are sitting on the ideas. We will also make a sequel to Go Goa Gone,” Raj and DK told during the interview.
Speaking about Stree, the film has been produced by Dinesh Vijan, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, and apart from Rajkummar and Shraddha, starred Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee. Reports stated that the same cast will be retained for the second part too.
