Rakesh Roshan calls for a law prohibiting legal hurdles before a film's release

The case of plagiarism filed by a writer from Madhya Pradesh, named Uday Singh Rajput, against Rakesh Roshan and the Krissh 3 team has been dismissed. Much relieved Rakesh Roshan said, “The film industry can’t do anything about such nuisance litigation that is thrown at us filmmakers just a few weeks or even days before the release. The law has to come from the government preventing any legal action from any party at least three months before release. Without seeing a single frame of the film how can anyone decide the content of it? This kind of thing must be stopped. It’s a nuisance to engage lawyers have them attend court in cities outside Mumbai. Such a waste of time, money and energy.” The producer-director is tense but confident about Krissh 3. Says Rakesh Roshan, “I’ve directed a film after seven years. Completing Krissh 3 is a big victory for me. It was very difficult to complete this film with all its action sequences and special effects.” The eager filmmaker feels the special effects in Krissh 3 would make the world sit up. “We will prove that we are as good if not better than Hollywood. Krissh 3 will prove that when it comes to on-screen spectacle India is not inferior to its Western counterpart.” Rakesh Roshan says he has achieved what he had set out to do. “I had a certain vision in mind. And I feel I’ve achieved what I had in my mind. Now let’s see how the audience reacts.” About the unusual release date Rakesh Roshan says, “We planned to release post Diwali on the 4 November. But then all of a sudden we realized Diwali has never before fallen on a Sunday. Nobody knows what the public mood would be like on Friday and Saturday. So we decided to take a chance.”
