Known for his acumen at making horror films, Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) has decided to make a sequel of his 2003 film <em>Bhoot</em>. However, this time around, his ploy is to bank more on content rather than relying on stars.
Varma has signed a relatively unknown six-year-old girl, Alayna, to play the lead of his film. Confirming the news, RGV says, “Yes, Alayna is playing the protagonist while Manisha Koirala would be playing her mother.”

Varma has signed a relatively unknown six-year-old girl, Alayna, to play the lead of his film. Confirming the news, RGV says, “Yes, Alayna is playing the protagonist while Manisha Koirala would be playing her mother.”
For a change, Varma is making the film in the 3D format. Avers the director, “For the first time I am making a film in 3D, so there is distinctive shooting style to be employed.”
Produced by Nitin Manmohan, the sequel was initially supposed to be directed by Vikram Bhatt. However, Vikram walked out of the film on the pretext that since the original film belonged to RGV, he should only direct the sequel as well.
The original Bhoot was a multi-starrer with actors Ajay Devgn, Urmila Matondkar, Nana Patekar and Rehka among others.
