MUMBAI : Indira Krishnan has garnered media attention for precisely the right reasons. In the upcoming television series Durga, the actress will co-star with Pranali Rathod and Aashay Mishra in a negative role. Indira has dabbled in movies as well. Most recently, she made an appearance in Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor.
As she is now working on Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, Krishnan revealed that RK suggested her for the major motion picture. Indira said in an interview, “I did Animal with Ranbir Kapoor. After that, he recommended me for Ramayana. He's very grounded person and never shows any starry attitude on the set." She added that the Brahmastra actor has polite behavior with everyone, be it his co-stars, the spot boys, or someone else. Indira stated that Ranbir's nature has led her to learn to 'give respect, take respect.”
When the 53-year-old reflected on her previous experiences on various television sets, she related multiple instances in which she had to wait for the main stars who would not show up on time. She also highlighted the fact that Kapoor's coworkers really respected and admired him for his constant devotion to his career.
For those who are unaware, Indira Krishnan is supposedly starring in the next magnum opus as Ranbir Kapoor's on-screen mother, Kaushalya. Lara Dutta, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Yash, Arun Govil, and numerous other A-list performers also feature prominently in Ramayana.
Speaking of which, Leena Gangopadhayay is the financier of Indira's upcoming show Durga, which is scheduled to debut on September 16. The focus of the show is class inequality. It centers on Durga (Pranali Rathod), a young woman from a tribal group who is purportedly adopted by a royal family, and is set against the magnificent backdrop of Rajasthan.
