Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu's production house named Picture Shuru Productions

Just a few days ago we had reported that Ranbir Kapoor had teamed up with Anurag Basu to launch a production house. But then, they had not named the company. Now, after giving it a thought, the duo has found a name derived from something very close to their hearts. Taken from the lyrics of the credit roll of a Barfi! song, the production house will be called Picture Shuru Productions. It is said that long before Barfi! released, Ranbir and Basu decided to launch a production house. Then, the duo was hooked to the word ‘Picture Shuru’. Furthermore, it was while recording the song they heard it first and the words stayed with them for many months. Another reason behind zeroing in on these words might be to remember their first venture together. As reported earlier, films that would be dished out by the production house will star Ranbir and will be directed by Anurag. The first project under the new banner would be Jagga Jasoos in which Ranbir will play a sleuth. Currently, Ranbir, who is shooting for Abhinav Kashyap's Besharam, will follow it up with Anurag Kashyap's ambitious film Bombay Velvet.
