MUMBAI: It has become a national habit for Saif Ali Khan to get into trouble with his words and work. Just the other day, some people were targeting him for speaking about humanizing Raavan.
Now, Saif has got into trouble yet again for something he has nothing directly to do with.
In his new web series Tandav, a scene involving actor Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub has infuriated certain sects of belief.
A close friend of Saif and Kareena expressed, "They are expecting a child any day. The last thing they need is this kind of tension. Security personnel standing outside your door is not the best way to welcome a baby into your home.".
Netizens have expressed huge disappointment and anger over certain scenes in the series. A politician has asked for a boycott of Tandav until actor Mohammed Ayyub Zeeshan apologizes before the Indians for allegedly 'mocking a Hindu God'.
In the allegedly offensive sequence, Zeeshan is seen dressed-up as 'Lord Shiva' during a stage performance and commenting that the number of Shiva Bhakts is increasing in the country day after day.
An angry Twitter user wrote, “How many times Hindu sentiments will be hurt. Hindus are the most progressive people they don't shout on the road, they don't burn city, they don't set houses and shops on fire. It doesn't mean they have no sentiment. So stop hurting Hindus #BanTandavNow”.
B-Town actor Saif Ali Khan (who portrays a wily politician in Tandav and poisons his own father to get the Prime Minister’s seat), is no stranger to controversies. Prior to Tandav, his comments on 'humanizing' Raavan in his forthcoming project Adipurish triggered-off a nationwide outrage.
