MUMBAI: Dhak Dhak girl Madhuri Dixit has turned a year older today. In today's retro movie news segment let us know the time when the Queen of Hearts was rejected by a famous Hindi singer. Yes! You read it correctly. Madhuri is known for her acting, dancing style and calm nature but she has also faced rejection. This took place before the actress became a star. According to a News 18 report, Madhuri's parents wanted her to get married to singer Suresh Wadkar.
The Devdas star came from a traditional Maharashtrian home and her parents did not like her working in the industry. When her dad looked for an ideal hubby for her, he selected Suresh, who had just started his career. Madhuri was also ready to marry Suresh who was older than her. The famous singer reportedly rejected the actress because she was very thin. This left Madhuri's father distressed and in a way, it proved that our Hindi cinema got the best actress. Well, now Madhuri is happily married off to Dr Shriram Nene and was living in the US and has two sons Arin Nene and Ryan Nene. Well, it is well said that whatever happens in life, surely happens for good. When Suresh Wadkar rejected Madhuri, her way was made into the Hindi film industry. The Hindi film fraternity would not have seen such a diva if Suresh had not rejected her.
It was a sad situation for the actress to have been rejected but the Dhak Dhak girl was made for bigger things in life. She has given hit films like Tezaab, Dil, Saajan, Beta, Hum Aapke Hain Koun and many more.
